Newborn & Family Photography in West London
It is always lovely when I’m asked to return to my clients for some more family photography and even lovelier to start the year appropriately with a Newborn session and to be back making a record of the new addition in those first magical days of life. The key to capturing real moments as they happen at a family session is to take time, allow the session to be entirely mother and baby-led and to observe and embrace the minute-by-minute changing activities as they happen, especially with a toddler sibling in the mix too.
My aim is to capture a range of images - individual portraits, relationships between siblings, parents with each child, some family groups which sometimes take a little more direction, (the image above was captured during a game of Sleeping Lions) and to produce a set of images that will trigger genuine memories of family life at that moment in its history.
Precious photographs, for those to delight in recalling and those too young to remember, that will be looked back on and treasured in the years and generations ahead.
Sleeping, waking, sleeping, waking - and a big yawn. That’s the name of the game when you are barely a week old.
If you are thinking about some Family Photography, I’d love to hear from you. I am happy to travel all over London, the home counties and across the UK for Family Photography sessions during the week, weekends and in the school holidays.
