St Mary’s Teddington & Hampton Court House, Surrey wedding
Lizzie and David are one of those couples who have hundreds of friends, love to have fun and to laugh at everything and especially themselves. On their wedding day, they were wonderful, totally relaxed and sending themselves up and making their wedding day a party to end all parties. And they were joyous to be married at last after a long journey.
In spite of it being a local wedding for me, it was nonetheless energetic, starting off in Hampton with Lizzie, then to the Tide End pub at Teddington Lock, back to Lizzie and on to St Mary’s and St Alban’s for the service.
After the ceremony, the newly-weds, in a horse-drawn carriage, made a fast clip along Teddington High Street into Royal Bushy Park to Hampton Court House with me and their friend Bernie (risking his life, license and open-top Saab) driving alongside as I stood up, jumped out, ran to get a wider view, and jumped back in again to capture this wonderful part of the story.
A big day and a big story to tell in pictures. Here is the abridged version!
